HISTORY
In 1966 YKK (UK) Ltd
was first established with the opening of a London Sales office, and by
1970 YKK had become the first Japanese company to invest in a
manufacturing plant in the United Kingdom. This factory was relocated to
its present position at Runcorn in Cheshire in 1972.
To demonstrate YKK's
commitment to new product development and to ensure that our quality
standards remain the highest in the industry, YKK opened its European
Research and Development centre in 1990.
This facility, based at the Runcorn plant has allowed YKK to develop
many diverse products across very differing industries.
